The optimistic plot of the ballet only vaguely resembles the literary source. Instead, literally from the first minutes, the audience is immersed in the driving atmosphere of a theatrical carnival, forcing them to enthusiastically watch the changes of bright mise-en-scène and virtuosic pa.

The red cloaks of bullfighters, the sound of castanets, flirtatious glances from under open fans - the artists of the National Opera of Ukraine will transport you to the stormy streets of ancient Barcelona.

The main attention of ballet connoisseurs this evening will be focused on the impeccable duet of the main performers.

The winner of numerous awards of prestigious international competitions, the leading soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine in the past, and now the young prima of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater, the stylish and extremely artistic Olesya SHAYTANOVA will perform the part of Kitri.

In the part of her lover, the barber Basil, the star of the dancer of incredible charisma and bright talent will shine - the premiere of the National Opera of Ukraine, guest soloist of the American Ballet Theater and the Vienna State Opera, Denys NEDAK.
