Hamlet is one of the most staged plays in all countries of Western culture, and this time it will return to the stage of Košice theater in the form of a modern dance. The tragedy of seeking the meaning of human life raises a fundamental question – whether it is better to fight evil in the world or not to take an interest in it.

The choreography was handled by a pair of creators – the soloist of the Košice Ballet Maksym Sklyar and a graduate of the Cuban dance school Nelson Reguera Perez. The production mainly features Max Richter’s music from the British film Testament of Youth, as well as compositions by Byron Metcalf, Istvan Sky and Giorgio Maineria.
