Viktor Ishchuk
Viktor Ishchuk is a ballet master-director at the National Opera of Ukraine. CEO at the Ukrainian Classical Ballet, and director of La Prima Ballet School.
Laureate of international youth ballet competitions:
“Crystal Slipper” (1996, 1st prize)
“Ballet Youth” (1997, 1st prize)
“Platen” (1998, Austria, 1st prize).
Laureate of International competitions of ballet artists: Budapest, 1998-diploma.
San Pelten, 1999-gold medal, Vienna, 1999-gold medal, Moscow, 2005-gold medal.
The winner of the national program “Man of the Year 1999” in the nomination “Young Talent of the Year”.
Pupil of the Kyiv ensemble-lyceum “Kiyanochka”.
Since 2001 – ballet soloist, since 2023 – choreographer-director of the National Opera of Ukraine.
The dancer’s repertoire includes leading roles in classical and modern ballets. Including Désirée, the Prince (“Sleeping Beauty”, “The Nutcracker” by P. Tchaikovsky), Basile (“Don Quixote” by L. Minkus), Albert, slave Ali, Lankedem (“Giselle “, “Corsair” by A. Adana) James (“Sylphide” by H. Levenshold), Romeo, Prince (“Romeo and Juliet”, “Cinderella” by S. Prokofiev) and others.
Ballet master-director and performer of the main roles in the ballets “Eyes Wide Shut” to ensemble music (2021) and “Doctor Faust” to ensemble music (2022).
Toured in Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, Portugal, USA, Latin America, Japan and other countries.
Viktor Ishchuk has a long history of cooperation with Kult-Media. Our company filmed complete ballet performances with Viktor in National Opera of Ukraine, October Palace, and on different stages during ballet touring in Poland.
